Procedures for Calculating Barometric Pressure from Altitude, and vice versa, for both the Standard Atmosphere and the more applicable Model Atmosphere Equation (J. Appl. Physiol. 81:1850-1854, 1996)
Download the Excel file PB-Alt.xls, then open it with the Microsoft Excel® program, and follow the instructions at the top of the worksheet.
Procedures for Calculating the Relationships Between True Altitude, Room Oxygen Concentration, and Equivalent Altitude
There are two procedures:
- One calculates the equivalent altitude for various degrees of oxygen enrichment, knowing the true altitude.
- The other calculates the degree of oxygen enrichment necessary to provide a certain equivalent altitude, knowing the true altitude.
Download the Excel file EquivAlt-FIO2.xls, then open it with the Microsoft Excel® program, and follow the instructions at the top of the worksheet.
